Last month, Idaho Health Data Exchange (IHDE) had the pleasure and exciting opportunity to speak at the Strategic Health Information Exchange Collaborative (SHIEC) annual conference. The presentation, titled, “HIEs as an Integrator, Aggregator, and Convener; A Community Oriented Approach to Addressing Health Related Social Needs,” addressed IHDE’s role in bringing the social services platform, Aunt Bertha, to its statewide user base. In a panel of IHDE and Aunt Bertha representatives, presenters discussed how they:
- Leveraged and enhanced technical capabilities
- Initiated and supported learning collaboratives
- Built the value case for sustainability
