In a story reported by KTVB 10:00 pm news on February 8, 2015, the Idaho Health Data Exchange (IHDE) was recognized as a contributing factor in the reduction of prescription drug fraud and abuse. By accessing clinical data in our system, IHDE-participating providers have a broader view of their patients’ history and prescribed medications which is helping curtail “doctor shoppers” and prescription drug abuse.
